International Conference: “New Perspectives for Outcome-based Evaluation and Research on Family and Children’s Services”, Hong Kong September 7-8 2017

The International Conference on “New Perspectives for Outcome-basedEvaluation and Research on Family and Children’s Services” (2017 iaOBERfcs Conference) will be held in Hong Kong on 7-8 September 2017. For the first time, it has decided to locate the Conference in Asia and has approached the Chinese University of Hong Kong to act as local host for this prestigious event.

The 2017 iaOBERfcs Conference aims to provide participants with an international platform to share research and advance knowledge development in outcome-based evaluation worldwide. 

Outcome evaluation is a human and professional challenge for all of us. It tells us if our work is useful, how much it is useful, which are the advantages, if we were able to co-produce outcomes with our users and inside our community. We need to design the service of the future.

We sincerely hope you can share your experience and insight by submitting an abstract about concluded or current experiences in the domain of outcome-based evaluation and research on family and children’s service on the following three main themes: 

  • Families and Children’s Well-being in the Changing Context: The cultural perspective
  • Families and Children’s Well-being in the Changing Context: The social policy perspective
  • Services for Families and Children in a changing society: Development, Provision and Evaluation


The main specific themes of this conference are organised in three main areas, each with a number of sub-themes. Please visit our website for details on the sub-themes.
